Can anyone recommend a 19" LCD TV that comes with built in DVD and freeview. I am in the UK if that makes any difference.

  1. Ive got just the one its made by UMC. Heres a link to it. http://www.dixons.co.uk/martprd/product/... You can probably get it cheaper here I think this is the same tv but cheaper http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/p... I wouldn't get a tv with a built in dvd player though because if the dvd player brakes or messes up so will the tv happened to a friend of mine. Hope it helps.

  2. It is not possible to recommend that type of product at all.

All TV / DVD combinations are notoriously unreliable - the DVD section usually gives up first, meaning you have to replace the whole lot.

Regardless of space, you are ALWAYS better off buying a separate TV and DVD player.

  3. Hi Morty,

There are an abundance of options when it comes to 19" TV's. TV/DVD combis are usually very reliable; only rarely a fault with the DVD Player will affect the TV itself. It does have the added convenience and space saving factor that you don't have to use more than one socket and does not take up as much space as separate units.

The UMC TV's noted above are differing in price because the link to the PC World UMC TV does not have an inbuilt DVD Player.

If you are looking for a combi TV/DVD system then the UMC is a great choice. It has built-in freeview so you can get up to 48 free-to-air digital channels & built in DVD Player. It is also HD Ready, so is compatible with HD Channels and it produces a crisp picture quality for gaming and film. It comes in a Black gloss in finish so looks attractive.

As well as the 19" model we also stock a 22" model which is currently under £240, and has all the same functions as the 19" version.

If you are interested in separate units you could get a 19" Samsung R8 series TV for under £225 and a DVD player for around £20.

Hope this helps in your search for a new TV,
