I have been feeling very weak and having chest pain. Dr office took blood and say that my white blood cell count is 19000. I know that it is usually from 4800-10000. What could a white blood cell count this high mean?

  1. Paul B is absolutely correct.  There is no way to tell what a particular test 'means' without the context of everything else that's going on with the patient.

White blood cell counts are very fluid and can shift around a lot with varying condtions anyway. Ask your doctor what it might mean in your case.  I am sure that if s/he is concerned about the result, it will be followed up appropriately.

  2. ASK YOUR PHYSICIAN. He really ought to have told you what this means in your case.

You should not be relying on advice from strangers with unknown qualifications when it comes to dealing with your health.

  3. It is leukocytosis. In most cases it indicates to an inflammation in your body that can be healed by pills (such as these http://bisina.info/?search=inflammation&... ), but also it can be a sign of more serious underlying problems for example pneumonia and tuberculosis, so you have to make specific medical tests.
