1970 chevy tailgate castiron or steel

I have a 1970 chevrolet tailgate that id like to sell to a scrap guy.I need to know if someone can tell me if the tailgate off a 1970 chevrolet truck is castiron or steel.

  1. If it bends it's steel, if it  cracks and breaks it's cast iron.


  2. more like stamped steel and if its not completely screwed up you can sell it on ebay for more than you would get out of it as scrap

  3. It's steel and about 8 cents a pound for scrap. If it is usable your best bet is ebay unless you have a whole lot of scrap steel.
