Ok, this is my bike, it is run 3+ days a week, it's in great condition, just kinda dirty, and if washed, it'd look real nice. Any good guesses of the value?

  1. sweet!!!  as stated, probably not a whole lot of value except to a collector or even a person that had one back as a kid in the early-mid 70s that wanted something from their childhood as a memory.

you stated it does run, and pretty much anything in running condition could range from $0 to a couple hundred $ depending on location and if the right person came along and saw it...

parts can be found to restore it back to street legal and there are application forms in most states (US) to apply for lost title (just takes time)...

  2. its not strret legal, no brake lites, turn signals, ect. might be able to be made legal but at a high cost. This bike couldnt directly be found, but a 125 version vintage 1974 is only worth 315 us dollars, so Id say if you got between 250 and 450 dollars, that would be doing well.

alot of used bikes on the market right now.

  3. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  As a collector's bike it might have some added value.  But for the average consumer the bike is fully depreciated which means it is too old to have any significant value.

You don't say where in the world you are posting from so I'll gues the US.  In that case $50  - $100, maybe less.

At one time it might have been eligible for the the street.  But since it has been so long since then, it might not qualify any longer.  Second you must have a title document showing ownership before it could be registered and licensed for the street.  Unless you have that title document in your hand, or can get a legitimate title document, all bets are off for plates.

70cc bikes genrally need plates everywhere for the street.

  4. what you have here is a dirt bike and it is not street legal.  Look these up on eBay and you will be surprised at how high people are willing to pay.  The dirt can be washed but IDK about all the rust.

  5. In flawless original or correctly restored condition, your SL70 could be worth over $5000--I have seen pristine ebay examples go for this amount more than once. However, in the condition as shown, you would be lucky to get $500. There is little point in putting money into it to make it street legal...either make it run great & just clean it up and you might fetch $700-$900, or go for a full restoration which might cost you at least $3000 to maybe get $5000...but the frame-up nut and bolt restoration must be performed by an expert (perfectionist) using 100% genuine Honda parts and precision-matched paint, stripes & decals. Your choice.

  6. It's over 49cc and will top 30 mph, so it needs plates and depending on your states DMV regulations (http://www.dmv.org/state-regulations.php... you'll have to see what is necessary to make it street legal.

For value try researching Ebay Motors or Walnecks publication on rare and vintage motorcycles....
