1971 yamaha ct1 enduro?

Question

My ct1 starts and idles well but when i try to ride it feels like i give it half throttle and nothing happens but full throttle and little throttle works fine. Then when i get to third gear it seems like the engine is flooded and it bogs out and wont start for a little while. I think there is way too much oil in the gas mixture. Could this be a cause or what else is it? I think the timing is right but I have trouble with the timing. Anything help would be greatly appreciated.

Check the points & timing and check the cylinder compression.
