Bobby Orr underwent knee surgery just prior to the tournament.  He was named to the team, and appears in the Team Picture that was printed in the Globe and Mail prior to the tournament beginning.  He also appears in the insert set of the 1972-1973 O-Pee-Chee hockey card series.
