When I'm driving down the road it is making a loud ratcheting sound somewhere between the center and rear of the truck.

  1. bad u-joints or bad center carrier bearing on the drive shaft


  2. i would say a bad universal joint on the yolk side .Change them both.  GOOD LUCK!!!!
