When trying to start.

2 barrel carb was removed, cleaned and replaced. Only runs if accelerator is pumped wildly.

Any ideas of what to do next?

Float level is where it's supposed to be.

  1. Take your two barrel shot gun and put it out of its misery. Haha

My first thought after the float would be check the choke.

  2. where is it spewing from, the vent tube or spraying out the top?  could be a bad inlet needle.. or the float has a hole in it.. if it's spraying or spiting out the top, it could be a bad valve or stuck lifter..

  3. Hey BB-my squeeze was just cussing out a carburator on a Ford this past weekend.  I'll ask him when he gets home and he might be able to help you.

Sorry, BB, the squeeze was cussing out the brakes on my Ranger so I'll wait until he's in a better mood before I ask.  One Ford at a time!  lol
