Question:

1978 Honda Hobbit (PA II)?

With gas prices, I couldn't take it anymore. I took the ol' girl out of storage, took her for a tune-up and she purrs just as nicely as when I put her away many years ago.

I have noticed a difference since I last rode it, 10 years ago. I am older and much more aware that I can get hurt, and that it hurts when I get hurt! There are two things I'd appreciate some help with to avoid getting hurt.

1) I would love to find a chartreuse or day-glo green set of rain gear. I know they are out there, I just can't find them. Help, please?

2) I would like to put turn signals on the moped. It has no battery, so they would either have to run off the alternator or on something like a couple AA batteries. Has anyone else done that, and if so, what did you do?

Thanks for your help!

  1. I Think I just might be able to help. At least for now with the turn signals! I live in a bike town and have seen bicycle turn signals for around 10 us dollars at longs. If your local longs has a bike section you may consider keeping an eye out for these. They are cheaply made but work great for the price! There is a night light in the middle of it too so you can have additional safety. If your bike is a moped w/o a battery then thats good cause mine takes 2 AA batterys and lasts quite long with them. I am aware that you have a moped but as long as it has a seat post, Then you can hook up this light to practically anything... I will look for the raingear and if I find it I will let you know and add some info here. Hope you have luck finding it at longs! (I could not find anywhere on the internet)

If no luck Here they are but they are expensive! http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/bicygnals...
