1980 Suzuki 450 Cruise Control problem - I can't find an after market Throttle lock that will work...

There are many after market throttle "meisters" and throttle "locks", but none seems to fit this particular bike. Has anyone any idea of what modifications to make to a "cruise control" for this bike to make it work? Thanks!

  1. hmmmm dunno sorry thumbs down

  2. Here's one

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Suzuki-GS...

    .........................................

    Those things are Almost universal

If you look at the picture of the Ebay item,,,,

You can see it has a Clamp that fits to Handlebars,,,on other side of switch.

Then there'e a link which goes from the clamp,,,,across the switch,,,,and To a Friction Ring on the Throttle grip.

That's pretty much generic set-up,,,,,and most ALL bikes from that era had Same size handlebars .

So the Bar Clamp fits all 7/8" handlebars.

j*p Switch dimensions and layout was almost generic also,,

so the connecting link will fit  around/across most any switch.

Same goes for friction ring---most all grips were approx same size

The Friction type Cruise Controls are almost Universal Fit,,and will pretty much work on anything

    ...........................

This type will work also,,,"same type" as above

    Good Luck
