1983 yamaha excel 3 snowmobile won't start.

Question

I have checked to see if it is getting fuel to the carb and it is. It doesn't seem to be getting any spark. I have an old service manual but it doesn't get into detail very good about alot of stuff especially electrical. Does anyone have any ideas on what to check and do you know where I can get an actual repair manual. Thank You.
