How does Orwell view society and government? For example, is he pessimistic / optimistic, positive or negative? Any reason to why you think these?

  1. Negative. Pessimistic.

Why? Clearly you have not read the novel - I mean, maybe the answer is too obvious if yo  have read it and not understandable if you have not read it. Maybe you could take a read of the book?

You get it for free on the Internet too - so no buying / bothering / spending.  Simply try out the George Orwell ("Orwell, George") in WebLiterature:

  2. Negative and pessimistic. Because the whole novel was about how the government is evil. It was a dystopia. In Nineteen Eighty-Four everyone was brainwashed and willingly deceived themselves into believing the obvious lies of the government.

I hope you don't ask a question like that to your teacher. Dead giveaway that you didn't read.
