I have a 1984 190D and it will not shut off... I'm pretty sure it's a vacuum issue with the shut off valve... but to turn it off i had to disconnect the 3 fuel lines under the hood! I know on some Mercedes diesels there is a manual shut off switch/lever... does this car have one? where?!

please let me know how i can turn off this possessed car!!

  1. If you changed the oil filter you may have disconnected one of the vacuum lines that plugs into the plastic gizmo near the filter canister. There should be a metal lever on the linkage above the valve cover that says "stop" on it that you can push to shut down your car.
