1984 ford crew cab with 460 4-speed it will not start i pour ask in the carb and it acted like it will start?

I pour gas in to the carb and it acts like it will start be does not, is it the fuel pump and were would it be, it as two tanks and some one said vaper lock i could have, it was low on gas and would not start so i pour gas in it annd it will still not start. i have spark.

your pump is probably on the engine itself on that truck since it has a carb, put a new fuel filter on it first before you replace the pump as when your gas tanks went dry you could have sucked up a lot of dirt off the bottom of the tanks and plugged the filter.
