  1. Take cap off ...does rotor turn when engine cranked?

If no, you have lost the timing belt.

  2. 1986!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get a new car.

  3. Rotor shouldn't turn by hand, only when the motor turns over.

See if the rotor turns when you advance the motor (put the car in gear and push forward) if not, perhaps the distributor/distributor drive gear's shot.

Check for voltage out of the coil; if ok, check voltage at the coil/distributor wire. Also, there may be a defective relay at fault. Is the timing belt intact? That'll stop any spark from the distributor.

    Good Luck!
