1988 BMW 735i vs 1989 Civic (first car)?

Question

So I'm going to get my first car and its a handmedown so money is'nt much of an issue. My choices are a 1988 BMW 735i and a 1989 Honda Civic. The honda is fast like a m**o but the beemer is soo s**y. The honda is super fast, but the beemer is obviously safer. The honda is pretty unsafe but the beemer is h**l to maintain cause its so expensive. But the insurance for the beemer is proly alot cheaper. I don't know which to pick.

For a first car, the Civic is a better choice. It is smaller, so it is easier to drive and park. Even if you obtained the Bimmer for free, the cost of insurance, maintenance, and parts will cost an arm and a leg. Even the price of gas is higher.A 735i requires premium fuel and it drinks at least twice as much as the Honda.

If you have buckets of money sitting around, take the Bimmer.

If you are a regular working Joe, the Honda is a better choice.
