1990's : Bulls and Rockets?

Question

People often say that the two championships the Rockets won in the mid '90's should have an asterisk because they wouldn't have won them if Michael Jordan had played those two seasons.

If thats the case, shouldn't there be asterisks next to the Bulls' six championships because obviously they wouldn't have won those if Jordan wasn't playing?

What's the difference?

Many seem to forget that Jordan did play in 1995 and that the bulls lost to the magic with a young shaq and penny. You may argue Jordan was rusty but he did pour 55 points on the knicks before that play-off series. The rockets deserved their 2 titles sweeping orlando and beating the knicks in a tight series. Could have gone either way. I think things may have been very different if Jordan had not left

The difference was that the Bull had Jordan and the Rockets didn't. You also only put an asterisk on something when there's a deeper meaning than what is shown.

I don't think that the Rockets should have an asterisk next to their name because they were the best team those years that they won it all. This the better point you can make.

I'm from Chicago and MJ is my idol,but whoever said that is full of sheait!{I don't like to swear} The team that goes on the floor is the team that gets judged not by who it could have been on the team.
