Question:

1990 Ford XLT F150 headlights won't come on, parking lights work

I had this problem for a month now, I'll come out in the morning on my way to work berfore the sun comes out and the lights will not come on when I pull the k**b. All other lights work, just not my headlights. Could it be the switch itself, Or could it have some type of inline fuse? My fuse under the dash is fine, both headlight bulbs are all good. Sometimes I would get lucky and the headlights would come on after 10 minutes of driving, this happened twice now. Any Help?

  1. It is more than likely the wonderful floor-mounted dimmer-switch causing your problem. Go and get a new one, they don't cost much.

  2. It would be a relay or the switch itself that's bad I would bet it was the relay, Get a repair manual from the auto parts store and look up headlight relay and get a replacement

  3. I'm sure its  your switch
