Question:

1990 Volvo shaking badly...help

My 1990 volvo is shaking just started today. After driving 30minutes it smelled like burnt oil, called mechanices no one works on my old car lol any advice??

  1. You should be able to find someone who specializes in foreign cars who will at least listen to the vehicle and give you some ideas.  Without knowing more its hard to say, but I wouldn't put any miles on it until I had someone at least hear and see it run.

  3. Take it to your local Volvo dealer.  At the shop I work at we get cars that old and older all the time and it is no big deal, its just like fixing any other car.  They'll be able to help you.

    Also, do check your engine oil before you drive it anymore and look under the car and the sopt in the driveway where you park it and look for any oil leaking out of the car.  If it is a leak, driving it with little or no oil will make any possible engine repair highly unlikely and you'll be looking at buy a new engine (or car).  Hope this helps.
