where can i buy a cheap chevy 454

like 10000 or under i can fix it up i just need to know where i can get one that still runs

Did you mean 10,000 or 1,000? If it's $10,000, go to jegs.com they have 454s and even 502s for 5 or 6 thousand. Otherwise, like the others said, ebay and junkyards.

Drive past the desperation "park and sell" areas of your nearby cities and towns.  There are lots of used trucks with 454's in that are selling at deep discounts these days.  You could even test drive them to listen to them.  You would get a complete engine.  10000 is not cheap in my book.  If you really mean 10000 the GM crate engine ZZ454 would be about the best deal I could recommend.

used cars are tough to find of your choice, you might find one but i always have trouble finding a good one let alone the type i want
