1990 eclipse gsx ecu swaped out with a 1995 eclipse gs-t ecu?

is this possible me and my bf both have eclipse and hes got the gsx i got the gst i just replaced my ecu with another one thats chipped. he just figured out the ecu thats in his car is for a complete different car.

  1. Yeah, it's completely different. One is setup for an awd drivetrain, the other is for fwd. That, and they're two different models of car.

    Also, your chipped ecu isn't going to do anything for you.

    You might think you're feeling a little gain, but it's a placebo effect. All that's been done, is the fuel map has been moved around. The car will sound louder, but practically no performance is gained. And you'll lose fuel economy. Total waste of money, so I hope you didn't purchase it.
