1991-1992 kawasaki kx125 clutch problems?

i have a kx125 which i think might have clutch problems..My clutch is fully adjusted from both ends and when i start my bike n put it in gear it cuts out also jerks like ive stalled so i bought a new full clutch today but its still doing the same thing can any one HELP thanks

  1. Are you sure it's not a gearbox rather than clutch problem ?

    desert camel's answer is more detailed than mine and after reading it it's what I would do first. You could also get a Haynes Manual for the bike, only £15 new, less if can get one off eBay.


  2. best i can sugest is romeve the new clutch.grab the centre clutch basket in one hand and the outer in the other...if these spin ok then good...replace the clutch plates,first fiber then metal,alternating them..the last plate should also be a fiber one....i cant recall whet the clutch release is like on the kx's..some push the basket,some pull...you need to work out if the clutch arm is moving enough to disengage the clutch...update your question and ill be back later
