I was messing around with my B&M shifter yesterday s******g it down.. While I was doing this I had the running lights on so I could use the console light that lights up the in console light. So While I was tightening the light went out. I didnt think much of it and put all the tools away and forgot about the light. Next thing I know I am coming home that same night and hit my lights and none of my gauges light up neither does that console light and neither do my parking lights. IDK what the h**l? I replaced the fuses last night when I got home. Nothing.. I dont know where to find the short! HELP!

  1. When you screwed down your B&M could you have pinched a wire somewhere?!?!?!?

  2. Well.....logic dictates that you totally unscrew and remove the part you were s******g down and inspect carefully for a short there. You don't mention if the fuses were blown or not. Is there an interior light delay module that allows the lights to stay on for a few seconds after you exit the car? Probably not....it's a Camaro. I guess you should look under the car near the trans tunnel as well. Good luck.

  3. you have a bare wire touching metal somewhere, some how......  this could blow a fuse, or fuses, and even if you replace the fuse, something still isn't going to work as long as the exposed wire is grounded to metal.  you have to retrace the wiring.

  4. Sounds like you shorted a wire to me do as the first person said and go back and look at your work
