1991 Chevy Caprice begging for more HP's!!!?

I have a 1991 chevy caprice with a 305 engine stock and i want to put some major HP's into it. I'm no mechanic so can anybody give me some idea's on what brands, parts, and etc to put into the engine to make her roar down the main streets? I also need so positraction to.

The easiest way for you to get more power would be to ditch the 305 and put a 350 crate engine in it. The 305 is ok for the most part as a stock engine, but, the 350 is a better starting point for making power. It's like they say- there's no replacement for displacement.

You can do internals like a high lift cam lifters rockers crank shave port and polish the heads stuff like that. That will really give you some big hps cause that will drop your compression ratio. If you want to do little things you can do headers full exhaust after market filter like k&n. throw some gears in the rear like some 4:10s to make it launch so it all depends on what you are looking for.
