1992 chevy beretta transmission?

i have a 92 beretta and i think there is something wrong with the transmission. when i put it into drive the car shakes really bad. when i drive it stops shaking but doesnt seem to want to move. before when i pushed on the gas the car took off now it moves so slow that i almost got hit by a semi. i replaced the fluid about 2 years ago and havent driven 80,000 miles. so what iss making my car shake and go so slow. thank you.

sounds like your transmission is shot because when you push the gas your describing slippage as the engine revs but you barely move.. and yes this will get worse the more you drive and the only thing you can do is have a new transmission installed or have that one rebuilt.. good luck and god bless!
