  1. yea make shure to check all the little stuff like the belts and cables. there easy to fix but will cost alot

  2. make sure it pass smog and has good tittle...and also chk batteries, tires, and milage ..and of course right price for an older car like that ..dont get me wrong hondas are good cars ..but make sure do a thorough chk ...good luck

  3. there are a couple of things that show up with age. the car is solid with good maintance. Good news is it does not take much to maintain.

One thing that pops up is the main relay, car is hard to start, or you have a long crank. you have a world of technical data, do it yourself, and all you need to know about the car on hondatech.com

  4. The average reliability for the 1993 Honda Civics looks very good. The 1993 Reliability Percentrank for the Honda Civic (as a 6-to-8-year-old vehicle) is .95. For reference, the range of Reliability Percentranks of the Honda Civic for model years 1991-1995 is from .94 to .99, Honda's overall average for 1993 is .87, Toyota's overall average for 1993 is .93, and General Motors' overall average for 1993 is .37.

Furthermore, Honda's engines are strong (about equivalent to Toyota's engines), but its transmissions are more toward the average. Consequently, one of the things to focus on is the transmission.
