I was low on fuel and I tried to start my car and it would turn over but it wouldn't start so I put a gallon in my tank and fuel injector fluid and tried again and it still didn't work. Now, it is a really hot day where I am from and I was told it might be my relay switch, but I've never had troubles with my car on a hot day.. is there maybe another reason if not the relay switch?

  1. the main relay could be the problem.  it is very common on the 1990-1993 accords for the main relay circuit board to crack and open up on hot days when the inside of temperature of the car is very high.  when the crack opens up the circuit for the fuel pump and fuel injectors is open and the fuel pump or injectors won't work.  the car will crank but without fuel from the injectors or fuel pump it won't start.

it is more likely that the problem is the main relay than the car being low on fuel.  the main relay is located up under the left side of the dash roughly behind the coin tray.

the replacement relay is about $50 for the part at a honda dealer.  more if you want them to put it in

    hope that helps

  2. No--you most likely heard correct! The heat tends to take a toll on the "MAIN RELAY" in these vehicles. The circut board inside these relays tend to loose connection at certain places that control your fuel pump power. They are very easy to replace and cost about $90 at a dealer. They are located straight up under your dash near the top at the left and require a 10mm deep socket to replace.GOOD LUCK
