1993 Honda Civic EX Stuck driver side door?

My driver side door will NOT open. I've got the inner skin off and can see everything inside working fine, but the lock up will not release from the post mounted to the chassis column. I've poked, prodded, and pried on it...nothing. Locks work as normal. Or at least appear to be working from what I can see inside the door as I operate the locks from the outside and inside. Any ideas?

There's only 2 ways you can remove a door.  From the hinge or at the lock.  Of course you can't get to the hinge unless the door is open, so the lock is your only option.

Unbolt and take a apart the lock from the inside so you can release the clamp around the post mounted to the chassis column.
