1993 Lexus ES 300?

Question

I have a 1993 lexus es 300 and the abs light is on...before the light comes on when I press on the brakes it does a stuttering kind of noise not making it easy to stop but when the abs light comes on the brakes seem to work fine...what could be the problem?

Abs systems are very complex. It could be one of many components causing this. Rather than guessing, I would take your old lexus to a shop and pay to have the abs system scanned, that should narrow down what the problem is, good luck.
