I think my choke has quit working. I have to pump the gear shifter forever before the boat will start. Everything is stock on the boat. Can the choke be fixed without rebuilding the carburator. and how can it be fixed?

  1. it probably only needs cleaning. dis-assemble the choke on the carb. and spray with BERRYMANS carb. cleaner and re-assemble. then put some BERRYMANS carb./ injector cleaner in the tank. run out the fuel and you should be in good shape.

  2. The choke would have nothing to do with having to pump alot of gas.The float is open when its warm and closed when its cold. You may need a rebuild if your not getting enough fuel.
