  1. R6, lighter and newer technology.

  2. R6 would get it off the take off. But I bet the FZR would catch up. Cause the r6 is lighter it will have more take off, but in the long run it doesnt have the power to match the 1000.

  3. I don't think the FZR1000 would stand a chance against the R6 - in any category or any speed.

  4. Depends if it's 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile or circuit style track with curves. 1000cc wins 1/2 mile.

  5. The R6 would beat the FZR - yes the R6 feels like it lacks down low, but that is relative to the massive top end power hit. The combination of it's lower weight and the fact you could launch it hard (if you're good enough) would cancel out the FZR's lower down power/torque advantage. If the FZR was 'brand new' it would be close-ish but it is 14years old now so would've lost some performance

  6. I think all the answerers above are smoking crack. The R6 will win off the line...lol. The R6 has little to no bottom end and very little midrange. It's an all top end motor. Sure the FZR is heavier, but it has a very wide torque band and 145 horses. I haven't bothered to look up top speeds, but I would bet the FZR probably can take the R6 by a few mph. As far as a roadrace, its a no brainer the R6 will out handle and out brake the old heavy bike all day.

  7. R6 would definitely win this bout.
