Question:

1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee won't start

I was given a jeep grand cherokee and it overheated now it wont start ,the engine does not appear to be seized ,the fan still turns when I crank it,I replaced the ignition coil ,plugs and wires ,and battery and still no spark to the plugs,I was told that the security system might have disable the ignition system,please help

  1. The most common problem with no spark is the crank sensor on drivers side around 2 o'clock on bell housing.. Before spending money, try to unplug it, NO CORROSION is allowed and just reconnect it.

    While I am not sure what security system you may have, usually they kill the starter.

    If you are not SURE of no spark...

    No luck there? Ok, get a fuel pressure gauge and connect to the scrader valve on the fuel rail. No pressure during cranking, no start.
