My zx-6 is like dying in 2nd gear sometimes. The battery cant even hold a charge. ( i have to push start it) when im on the highway, it makes a pop noise and the RPMs go all the way to zero real fast and pop back up and the bike shutters a bit. And at first gear it dies sometimes as well. and when at a stop......anyone have some guidance on this? it has 22k miles.

  1. it sounds like the regulater rectafier  is broken.it regulates the amount of power goin from and to the battery. if you have a volt meter put it on the battery with the bike running if its not reading around 12.5vor 13v  at around 5000rpm it means regulater rectifer or altenater problems.eather or would explain the bikes behavour.bring it to a motercycle mechanic it shouldnt be too costly to fix.its some times a common problem.it s happend to 2 of my bikes in the last few years

  2. sounds like you have more than one problem. the battery is probably the alternator.  The rest of the problems could be clutch, transmission or engine related. But really have no clue, if I were u I would just get it serviced.
