I aquired a 1995 Kawi TS 650, prior owner inverted battery +/- and then never fix. I put a new battery in ski properly and nothing happens. Can the inverting of the battery leads fry the starter? This ski has more elctronics than my old X2, could it have blown any inline fuses? theres a box on the top of the block that the power lead goes into and from there gost to the starter. Is there anything in there that can go bad or blow? Help!!!!!!!!!!

  1. There is an inline fuse inside that box that should have blown. Go here to see a picture of it;http://216.37.204.206/Mcmart/Kawasaki_OE...  The high price is for the whole assembly, all you will need is the proper amp/size glass fuse, about a buck at the auto parts store.

I bought a Polaris a few years ago CHEAP because someone inverted the cables. It fried wiring all the way into the stator coils. I was able to remove a partial wrap of the staor and re-insulate it. I used old wiring from a junked car which was color coded as well.

Hopefully, you just have a blown fuse. Be sure you seal that box up good when you go back together, and while you are in there, check all the wiring and connections for tightness and corrossion.
