1995 camaro computer?

The car keeps turning off while its being drove. we took it in and they tried to fix it, but they said that the computer in the car needs to be change. so does anyone know how much that will costs? and where is the cheapest place to get it done?

I would get a second opinion first.  When i had my shop other mechanics would say it was the computer.  only 1 out of 5 was a bad computer.   Take it to an electrical shop

That's a very easy job that can be done in like 15 minutes. The part itself is around $250. That price can vary greatly depending on which parts store you call. Any mechanic can knock this job out quickly.

easy job but computer units are usually expensive.  what you have to do is shop around.  find out a part number of the computer unit.  go to auto zone or an auto parts place and price them.  also ask what the brand name of it is and the part number.  then go home and go on line and do a search by brand and part number.  a parts store may not have them then you will have to go to a dealer.
