1995 dodge dakota dies on me when driving?

stalls once in a while like it's out of gas,has plenty,is this a fuel pump problem or loose wire?

  1. it could be either,start by checking the connections at where they go together at the gas tank then check and make sure it isn't the relay causing this too happen,they will heat up and do this then when they cool off they will run good for a while,at this point though it could be either that or even a clogged filter causing it,or a bad pump,you may wind up having to get a pressure check ran on the fuel pump to find out for sure, this will save you from spending a whole lot of money on it,and take it and have the computer scanned on it,this will help you a lot in repairing it,auto zone or any parts stores now do this and at least you might get a code to work with,good luck with it.


  2. Probably bad fuel pump. You aren't getting enough fuel pressure. Hope this helps. If it has never been replaced before it's probably needs to be. If you pull it out and it is full of residue, purchase another one. They are around 30 bucks. Good luck.
