1995 ford escort electric problems?

Question

I recently installed a new stereo into my car i took it out to check if it had holes for an amp and a wire disconnected (the ignition wire) i reattached it and it still did not work then i found that the interior light didn't work and it didn't beep when i opened the door anymore and you could shift with out the key in the ignition to me it seems like their is something wrong with the ignition so i need allot of help
