1995 ford f150 paint job hazey, any way to fix?

i've got a 1995 ford f150 that recieved a paint job prior to purchase, and the paint is rather faded and hazey. I've waxed it numerous times after cleaning, and also tried applying rubbing and polishing compounds, but it still has a hazey look to it. Any way to get rid of this without a new paint job?

Wet sand with 800 grit sand paper then buff with 1000 grit rubbing compound followed by 1500 grit buffing compound then wash and wax then wax again

Have it professionally polished, or see about having it color sanded and clear coated.
