1995 saturn sc1 burns oil?

I was given a 1995 saturn sc1 with around 165,000 miles on it. one problem is it burns oil. I know these cars are known for this, but what can i do to fix it?

  1. there is nothing you can do short of rebuilding the engine, take it for what it is, and drive it into the ground, then get your cash for scrapping it when it no longer runs, it is not worth sticking money into.

    You can probably get another 40-50k out of it....

Your piston rings are bad and there letting the oil pass though to your spark plugs ,thats way it's smoking out the back of your car.The only thing you can do is change the spark plug when the car starts to run bad .You could use a thicker motor to help it slow down on burning so much oil & add a bottle of stop smokein it, you can buy that at the auto parts store.
