Well when i start up my car i kinda have to press the gas pedal to get the engine going which probably around 1500 rpms is where it gets stable under that it just shuts off right away.. I never had that problem before... So i keep the car running for a while but when the rpms start getting lower it starts to turn off on me.... It usually turns off on me while im at stop sign or lights... anyone have any idea???

  1. maybe low oil pressure? ive had some junkers that would shut down when the motor was on the way out

  2. sounds like a fuel problem, pressure regulator?

  3. Here are a couple of ideas;1) It might be the main relay in the fuel system (in my 93 rs its under the steering column, Take off the bottom cover and it should be right there it will say main relay on it {$40 new}) when mine went out it felt like it would be starving for fuel, Bobbling up to 3000rpm then it would stabilize. 2) it might be fuel pressure regulator. Haven't had mine go out yet don't know what it's like. 3) clogged fuel filter (Mine had a hard time starting after siting all night, but was mainly cool once it was started, but it did stumble and die on me a few times{$25 new}) So there are some options I suggest the cheapest first(but sounds like main relay). hope this helps.
