OK so i changed my battery was causing me some problems. It wouldn''t hold a charge. I took it to auto zone and they tested it and they said the battery was no good. So i got a new one. I put the new battery in and now the car doesn't start. I turn on the ignition key to start it and it cranks but it just dies right away. I press the gas pedal and it doesnt rev up. So i got some of that engine starter spray and sprayed it and the engine started up but died. It didnt die right away it was on for maybe about 6 seconds. More than it did without the spray starter.

I believe its the fuel pump that maybe inst working. What do you guys think?

i checked the Fuel shut off switch and it is not it.

I was told that it might be the fuel filter. Could this be it.

  1. it could be the filter or the fuel pump relay it is in or near the underhood fuse panel as far as the pump you need a special tool to remove the lines once you get it out you do have to drop the tank care should be taken no smoking or open flame had to tell you also be carfule removing lock ring on pump you could damage it good luck

  2. YOu may want to replace the fuel filter firsts, it is located between the frame under the driver side.  The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank, you'll have to remove the fuel and remove the strap holding the tank onto the truck.  You mentioned Auto Zone, they have the cheapest price.  You may want to get the NEW one and not rebuilt.  I think it goes between 100-150.

  3.   fuel filter easy to do

check fusible link fuse  relays first
