1996 Mitsubishi Galant radio security code????

Question

Who would steal a 12 year old radio? I have a 1995 Galant. The radio failed. I bought a 1996 radio from eBay in 2003. My battery died and I lost the code that I got a Mitsubishi dealer back then. Thanks for the help.

Quote the radio MAKE + MODEL and ALL the SERIAL NUMBERS on the radio casing and it may be possible to calculate your code.

just uninstall the factory radio and see if they wrote the code on the radio itself

sketchy people asking for unlock codes on yahoo answers would probably steal 12 yo radios
