  1. check yoru IAC valve sensor and check for a clogged throttle body

  2. Change the air filter and your PVC.

Clean out the carbon build-up in your IAC valve screen and the port hole inside your throttle opening with carburetor cleaner spray.

The port hole in your throttle opening can be accessed by removing your air intake pipe.  The hole is above the side on the front throttle opening before the throttle plates/flaps.

Against your throttle housing at the back is your IAC valve.  It is held against the throttle housing with 2 bolts.  Remove the bolts and spray carburetor cleaner at the screen if you see carbon deposit blocking the air flow.

    Good luck!

  3. change the air filter

  4. Your Idle Air control (IAC) is not working correctly.  When the engine is cold it is running rich so that is why the idle is higher.

    Good Luck...
