So when i go to shift into 3rd gear, if the rpm is any higher than like say 3500, it will grind, no matter what. the clutch could be to the floor and it would not make a difference, and it does not do this in any other gears, i cant figure it out. any one know what it is maybe, or what i can do>??????

  1. SYNCRONIZER for 3rd gear!!!! most likely thats what it is.

  2. since rpms play a factor as to weather it grinds or not, id say that it is most likely your third gear syncro has gone bad and needs to be replaced.

  3. If memory serves, that should be a hydraulic clutch which requires hydraulic fluid. So first thing I would do would be to check the fluid level for your clutch. Check your owners manual on how to check the fluid.

    Good luck!
