1997 Toyota Camry 144000 Miles (Asking Price 3500 USD firm)?

Hi All,

I am planning to buy my second car and I got 2 options with me and I am confused that which one I should opt.

1. 1997 Toyota Camry LE 144K miles - 3500 USD - Private Party. As per the private party, I may need to change tires..

What do you think, how many miles more I can drive this car??

2. 2000 Buick LeSabre 77K miles - 5000 USD - Dealer

Everything works fine, New Tires, clean and leather.

Please suggest, which one I should buy?

$3,500 is a good price for the 1997, but I don't recommend buying a car older than a decade. It just promises headaches and imminent repairs/accidents. Plus, you need to change the tires?

$5,000 for the 2000 is also a good deal. New tires included! It's only 8 years old and has half the miles compared to the 1997. But like you stated, it's an American car. Personally, I would keep looking because they both offer potential issues.

Don't buy the Toyota.  Although toyotas are very reliable, it has 144,000 miles on it already.  I would buy the 2000, it's newer.  Is it a certified used car?

Both are good cars with much life left in them. If it was me I would  purchase the one which came down the most on their asking price.
