  1. Consider that the timing belt on that car is a maintanence item, which means if you are going to take care of that car the belt will be due any time between now and 100,000 miles.  Only a good mechanic can inspect that part.  Price on the job is probably around 500.  I'm not saying don't buy it if the belt is original, I'm merely giving you a heads up on future issues. Other than that, if the car is nice and runs good you are getting a pretty good deal.  It is getting very hard to find a lower mile car like that with a good reputation for only 5000.  If you aren't sure about the mechanicals take it to a repair facility and have a "saftey inspection" done.  Tell them no fix, just look.

  2. If they use salt on the roads in the winter in your area, you may be in for a shock when you look at the undercarriage of this car. An 11 year old car that sits around a lot (i.e. 7500 miles a or so a year) will usually be much rustier underneath than a car that is driven 50-60 miles or more a day. Add to that a salt and water solution and you could be looking at a big rust issue. If you are still interested, before you buy it, take the car to a reputable mechanic and have him look it over for you. The $80.00 or so will be well worth it.

  3. to be honest a toyota camry from that time is an extremely reliable car

it is reasonably priced however i suggest that you look around for another deal

try cars.com or go look at some car dealers
