1998 Dodge Dakota 3.9 magnum V6 having trouble with auto trans?

1998 Dodge Dakota extended cab 3.9 magnum v6 having trouble with automatic trans shifting from first gear to second once the trans is warm, it slams into gear when you let off the throttle. It's not the fluid, I have checked it and it is full. Fluid is not burnt looking at all. Any help figuring out what is wrong is greatly appreciated.
