1998 Mercury 15 hp 4-Stroke Steering System?

Does Anyone know what parts I need (specifically) that will be used to attach a steering column to this outboard for a dinghy, to add a center console? Thanks for the help.

Ride Guide Steering system, it is a rack and pinion type steering, you may have to fabricate the parts required to attach it to your motor.or go to Boat Salvage yard and see what you can find.

You will have to purchase the proper control kit that will allow you to adapt cable steering to your motor from a dealer,these kits are not available at this time from an after market supplier.Then you will need to obtain a helm control system also available from the dealer.They will be able to advise you on how to decide on the proper system for your application.
