1998 Model RV that was never registered?

I recently acquired a 1998 5th wheel camper and was presented with the original Certificate of Origin, that was filled out from the dealer to the original purchaser. He never registered or paid the taxes on it. Someone filled their name in on one of the reassignment spaces under the original purchaser's info. How do I go about straightening this out? What a nightmare. Any help would be appreciated. P.S.- the original purchaser lost his ownership of this vehicle when he lost his business, so I doubt he will be of much help.

Your states DMV office is where you need to go.

Find a dealer that deals with your kind of unit, a simple google search will be able to find one, Talk to them about it see what they can do for you. If nothing turns up try the DMV.  Because it really depends on the manufacturer of the RV.
