1998 ford explorer rear drive shaft bolts

does anyone know the bolt head size of a 1998 ford explorer rear drive shaft bolt that connects to the rear axle. and does anyone know if theres a variation of the drive shaft bolts between the different options of engine sizes for that year? thanks

  1.    The bolts are 12mm-12point heads. The bolts are coated w/ threadlock from the factory and are not easy to remove. If you apply a little heat they can usually be removed with run of the mill tools. If you want them out quick and easy and have an impact gun hunt down a Snap-on,Mac,etc. truck and purchase the extension socket for these.Be sure to mark the position of the driveshaft flange to the yoke flange for re-installation as to reduce the possibility of driveline vibration.Also, be sure to re-apply threadlock before installing bolts. As far as bolt differential between models I have never come across any.
